The 24-year-old woman killed by a wrong-way firefighter earlier this week in New Jersey has been identified as the mother of the 2-year-old boy and the daughter of the 60-year-old woman who were both hospitalized.
Joanne Furman, 60, was driving in the westbound lanes of Route 80 when her vehicle was struck by 30-year-old Albin Fermin, a Newark firefighter, just after 2 a.m. in Totowa on Monday, Jan. 5, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

Guillermo Mollins, 39, of Poughkeepsie, was in a Honda sedan when he was struck by a Ford pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Bruce Canfield, of Pottstown, PA, who was traveling south in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike early Saturday, Jan. 3, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.
